-
Frequency-specific Transient Evoked Otoacoustic Emissions (TEOAE) and Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions (DPOAE) testing options.
-
Two modes: screening version (quick Pass/Refer with fixed protocols) and diagnostic version (more protocols, customizable settings)
-
Screening protocols: typically 2 DPOAE + 2 TEOAE automated tests.
-
Diagnostic protocols: 5 DPOAE + 3 TEOAE protocols with customization (4 DPOAE / 2 TEOAE protocols can be adjusted)
-
High noise immunity: works even in noisy clinical environments; patented noise algorithm tolerates background noise / babble up to ~ 55-65 dB SPL.
-
Memory & data management: stores up to ~ 250 tests in device memory. Reports exportable via database software; compatible with MAICO Sessions, HiTrack, OZ etc.
-
Portable, battery powered: rechargeable battery gives at least ~ 15 hours operation / ~1000 tests per charge. Compact & lightweight handheld probe.
-
User interface: OLED display with line/bar diagrams; intuitive Pass/Refer visual feedback.
-
Additional options/accessories: wireless printer, optional software, carry-case, disposable probe tips etc.

+ Free ShippingThe MAICO ERO•SCAN OAE is a versatile otoacoustic emissions testing device designed for both screening and diagnostic audiology needs. It enables objective assessment of cochlear (outer hair cell) function using TEOAE and DPOAE protocols. Its dual mode functionality allows clinics or mobile units to conduct quick Pass/Refer screening or more detailed diagnostic evaluations.
With its high noise-immunity algorithm, ERO•SCAN delivers reliable performance even in standard clinical settings with background noise up to approx. 55-65 dB SPL, reducing false refer rates. The unit is highly portable: compact design, handheld ear probe, rechargeable battery capable of delivering around 1000 tests (minimum ~15 hours continuous use).
The OLED display provides clear graphical feedback (line and bar diagrams) and shows results in an easy to interpret Pass/Refer format for screening, while diagnostic mode offers richer data and customizable test protocols. The device stores ~250 tests internally; results can be transferred to PC via compatible database software (MAICO Sessions, HiTrack, OZ, etc.), and optionally printed using wireless printer.
