The Interacoustics AS608 Screening Audiometer is a robust yet lightweight screening device designed for quick hearing assessments in educational institutions, industrial workplaces, primary health clinics, and wherever rapid, reliable audiometry is needed. It offers 11 test frequencies from 125 Hz to 8 kHz, with output levels spanning −10 to 100 dB HL. Stimulus modes include pure, warble, and pulsed tones. A silent-stimulus switch ensures testing can be conducted without loud clicks or distractions.

Two versions are available: the Basic model provides all the essentials for manual screening and frequency selection, while the Extended (AS608e) model adds valuable enhancements — a patient response switch, Talk-Forward functionality, automated Hughson-Westlake threshold testing, and PC integration via USB through the Diagnostic Suite software. Data can be exported or stored, and is compatible with commonly used clinical databases such as NOAH and OtoAccess.
